A proper diet is important when you are training or working out. Your weight training diet determines whether you reach your goals or not. You can spend hours in the gym but if you do not follow a strict weight training diet, you can lose all that progress. Here are some really good diet recipes you can try out at home.
Weight Training Diet: Berry Fruit Smoothie
The ingredients for this includes a small banana that is cut up and frozen, a quarter cup of raspberries, 1 cup of fresh orange juice and one third a cup of cup of nonfat, sugar free vanilla yogurt. Combine all your ingredients into a blender and mix till everything is smooth.
Weight Training Diet: A Lime Cilantro Salad
You will need 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice and sugar, half a cup of mayonnaise, half a teaspoon of dry mustard, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt, 6 cups of shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix and a quarter cup of freshly chopped cilantro. The next step is combining all the ingredients. First you combine the mayo, sugar, lime juice, dry mustard and kosher salt in a bowl. Add in the cabbage and cilantro and chill for at least one hour before you serve it. This dish goes well with a chicken sandwich.
Weight Training Diet: Shrimp Scampi
For this dish you will need, 4 tablespoons of sliced green onions, 1 tablespoon of garlic that is either chopped or minced, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 pound medium sized peeled raw shrimp, a quarter cup of lemon juice, one eight of a teaspoon of salt and pepper and olive oil spray. Place a wok over medium heat. Next, sauté your garlic and onions in the olive oil spray for about 2 minutes. Add a little oil around half way through. Toss in your shrimp and stir until a pink color is seen. Add in the salt, pepper and lemon juice when you are done. Cook until the juice is warm. This dish goes great with rice, pasta or on its own.
